We all some problems on occasion trying to come up with gift ideas for those loot bags, but don’t worry because coloring books make a great filler item. You can almost guarantee that the kids will make use of the coloring books that they get in their loot bag, especially if they are elementary school aged. It’s very easy to believe that with today’s gadgets and technology kids just aren’t interested in the simple ideas, but they will always be drawn back to the classic activities.
You can often find coloring books that are themed after your party idea for a fairly cheap price. You can usually find batches of them in packs of two dozen or so. That’s just enough for your guests loot bags with some leftover for your own children to color in. Depending on the size of your loot bag you can pick out coloring books of differing sizes as well. There are some coloring books that look very cute and are only about three or four inches in width. Although the kids at the party might feel a little like they’ve been gypped, so it’s probably better to put the full sized coloring books in the loot bags.
Along with the coloring books you’ll need to add a package of crayons. There are a variety of crayon packs to choose from, jumbo crayons, metallic, neon, minis, and the basic four pack of red, blue, orange and green. You can also include gel pens, chalks and markers for the kids to use in their coloring books.
There are also bulk jumbo packages of crayons that have like 400 crayons per box. They often come in just eight colors, but you can pick up one of these cases and have them sitting out for the party along with some loose coloring pages to help keep the kids occupied during the event.
