A homecoming party is fitting for a lot of themes and can be used for all kinds of homecomings from a high school football arrival to a couple coming home from their honeymoon. You’ll find that the Under the Sea Homecoming dance is very popular amongst high schools and though you may not want to use this theme for yet again another high school dance, you could use it to create a twist on the homecoming party of someone coming back from a long trip.
The Survivor homecoming party is another great theme for someone’s homecoming if they’ve been overseas or someplace tropical. You can buy lots of paper supply with the Survivor theme on it, paper plates, cups, napkins, and tablecloths even. The guests will get a kick out of their Survivor bandanna’s and scarves. You can use tropical inflatables like palm trees and beach balls to help decorate the guest of honor’s return. A banner proudly stating ‘Welcome Home’ on it will add to the event.
A Valentine’s homecoming can be great for a party especially if it’s a couple coming back from their honeymoon or if the return is near Valentine’s Day. Pick up some fun heart shaped wall hangings and place them all over the party area. Get pink streamers and wind them around the armchairs and table legs. You can make up a Valentines punch for the guests to drink from pink lemonade and cherry flavored soda.
The work party theme is also another good accent to the homecoming party for a graduating student. You can both congratulate them on their return and subtly hint that they should get to their future careers with this one. Simply decorate the party area with decorations related to their future career choice. Those looking to become archaeologists would love a party decorated in inflatable dinosaurs and dinosaur toys. You can even give out plastic buckets and shovels to the guests as party favors.
