Pregnancy and impending motherhood can be one of the most amazing times of your life. What better way to celebrate the occasion than to host a baby shower? Games can add loads of laughs and memories to the occasion; here are a few ideas to get started.
"Don't Drop the Baby!!" Baby Shower Game
This, more than other baby shower games, is particularly good if you’ve got a decent-sized backyard. Before the party, gather together a plastic doll, toy cordless phone (wouldn’t want the real one to break!), peg-basket and laundry-basket full of baby clothes. Each guest is given a short amount of time (1-2 minutes) to hang as many clothes up as they can while holding the “baby” and cradling the phone between their ear and shoulder. The player who can hang up the most washing without dropping the “baby” or the phone is the winner of this great baby shower game.
"Diaper-Sniffing Contest" Baby Shower Game
At any good baby shower, games involving diapers are almost a pre-requisite. This one is good for photo opportunities! Place different kinds of distinctive-smelling foods (different types of chocolate or candy, peanut butter, garlic and cinnamon sticks are all good) into individual diapers and wrap them up. Guests sit in a circle and must pass the diapers around, smell each one and write down what they think the contents of the diaper is. The object of this baby shower game is to be the player with the most correct answers.
